6.1 Operating Procedures

6.1.1 Are written operating procedures developed, implemented and consistently used?
6.1.2 Are operating procedures facility-specific, update to reflect changes in the design and operating conditions of the facility an form the basis for training?
6.1.3 Are operating procedures developed or modified to address simultaneous operations to manage identified risks?

6.2 Safe Work Practices

6.2.1 Does every individual have the authority and responsibility to stop work when an unsafe condition or act could result in an undesirable event?
6.2.2 Are safe work practices, within design and environmental limitations, systematically used to prevent harm to personnel, the environment and assets?
6.2.3 Are programs developed and implemented to identify, evaluate, monitor, assess and control occupational health hazards and assure fitness for duty?
6.2.4 Are employees and contractors informed regarding workplace hazards and mitigation measures?

6.3 Emergency Planning and Response

6.3.1 Are global, regional, local and/or facility emergency response plans and procedures developed, implemented and periodically tested?
6.3.2 Are emergency response plans, procedures and resources documented, accessible and clearly communicated to stakeholders.
